about me
Hello, I’m Andrew Johnson, a filmmaker based in Los Angeles.
I spent more than a decade at Roadtrip Nation, where I directed documentary series for PBS and traveled the country meeting people and telling stories about their lives and work. Those years shaped the way I approach filmmaking and eventually led me to start Damfino Films.
Today I lead video content at Roland DGA and continue creating documentary and branded work through Damfino. I’m drawn to real people, honest conversations and stories that make complicated subjects feel human.
Whether it is documentary or narrative work, short form or long form, I enjoy working with people to find the story and bring it to life.
